There Is A Clear Difference Between Synthetic And Human Hair Wigs

The quality of synthetic wigs has improved over the years. For this reason, some people think there is little difference between human hair wigs and synthetic wigs. However, this statement couldn't be any further from the truth. There are plenty of distinctions between synthetic wigs and high-quality human hair wigs.

Styling Options

A fun thing about wearing a wig is the fact that you can do things with the wig that you probably wouldn't do with your hair. However, when it comes to synthetic wigs, the styling options aren't very limitless. Synthetic wigs can't be styled with a curling iron or dyed with hair color.

Synthetic wigs also can't typically be cut, as they are pre-styled. On the other hand, human hair wigs can be styled with a flat iron, colored how you'd like, and cut to suit your personal style. A high-quality human hair wig offers the same variety that your natural hair does without you having to worry about causing damage to your hair.

Volume Loss

Another factor you typically encounter with synthetic wigs is volume loss. Synthetic wigs have a major problem with shedding. Each time you brush or comb the wig, some of the hair strands will loosen from the wig cap and fall out. As the wig gets older, the shedding will become even worse.

When the volume of a wig is lost, it will start to look thin and less attractive. Human hair wigs can shed when you first wear them, but over time, the shedding stops. Additionally, provided you use a wide-tooth comb on the wig, the volume loss will be minimal and undetectable.

Manageability

An important thing to remember about synthetic wigs is that the strands are basically plastic fibers. Although they might resemble hair strands, they very much function in the same way you would expect plastic to. For example, if you get hot and you start to sweat, the heat and moisture can cause the plastic fibers to melt and clump together.

Once the fibers clump, the hair becomes tangled and there is nothing you can do to reverse the damage. Human hair wigs are made from natural hair fibers and can withstand the heat and moisture. As a result, you don't have to worry about damaging the wig.

The quality of human hair wigs can't be understated. From appearance to manageability, the benefits of human hair wigs far outweigh that of synthetic wigs.
